The honor, reverence, thanks, and feelings of submissiveness ... the praise are for Allah, we praise Him and beg for his help and support and we ask Him to forgive us and we look to Him to keep us safe and secure from the evil of our own selves and from the wickedness of our own actions. Whoever Allah guides No one can cause him to go astray and whoever Allah leaves Astray No one can guide him. I bear witness as though I see with my own eyes that there is no one or no thing that is worthy to be worshipped but Allah and I also bear witness as though I see with my own eyes that Muhammad is the obedient slave and Messenger.
The best of speech is the speech of Allah. The best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of matters are the new ones, every new matter is an innovation, every innovation is misguidance and all misguidance is in the fire.
To Proceed:
The Quran
Allah subhana wa ta Ala says what means
This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. (Al-Baqarah 2:2)
Similarly (to complete My Blessings on you) We have sent among you a Messenger (Muhammad ) of your own, reciting to you Our Verses (the Qur'ân) and sanctifying you, and teaching you the book (the Qur'ân) and the Hikmah (i.e. Sunnah, Islâmic laws and Fiqh - jurisprudence), and teaching you that which you used not to know. (Al-Baqarah 2:151)
O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc.) for the believers. (Yunus 10:57)
The Sunnah
Allah subhana wa ta Ala says what means
So whatsoever the Messenger gives you, accept it and whatever he forbids you, abstain (from it) (Soorah Al-Hashr 59:7)
Oh, you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger and do not render vain your deeds (Soorah Muhammad 47:33)
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Indeed the Children of Israa’eel split up into seventy-one sects and my Ummah will split up into seventy-three, all of them are in Fire except one.” It was said, “What is the one?’ He said, “That which I and my Companions are upon.” Reported by at-Tirmidhee,
The call
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "This is my way; I invite unto Allâh (i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allâh i.e to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge.
The Connection
We at Al Quran wa As Sunnah Society of New York call to the Tawheed of Allah and the Sunnah of His messenger as was practiced and understood by the Sahaba and the best generations. The Prophets left behind knowledge as inheritance and who are the inheritors? They are those who obtain and carry this knowledge, they are the scholars.
To make it easy for all to access beneficial knowledge, and to encourage and support one another in holding firmly to this deen Albaseerah.Org is your link, your connection to the Ulema.
